Abstract: Urea thiourea zinc chloride
(UTZC), a new semiorganic non-linear optic material has been
synthesized. Single crystals of UTZC have been grown by slow
evaporation of saturated aqueous solution at room temperature.
The FTIR spectrum has been recorded in the range 400-4000 cm-1 and
spectral bands have been compared with urea, thiourea, Bis Thiourea
Zinc Chloride (BTZC).
Key words: UTZC, solubility, FTIR, non-linear optical material
