15.  Synthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Activity of Some Novel 3,8-Diaryl-5H-s-Triazolo (3,4-b) Isoxazolo (5,4-e)-1,3,4-Thiadiazines

Abstract: 3,8-Diaryl-5H-s-triazolo (3,4-b) isoxazolo (5,4-e)-1,3,4-thiadiazines (3) have been synthesised by the condensation of 4-bromo-3-aryl-isoxazolo-5-(4H)-ones (1) and 3-aryl-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles (2) in the presence of pyridine. The synthesised compounds have been screened for their antibacterial activity against S. aureus and E. coli.
