Abstract:
Taking
into account features of complexformation of titan(IV) with
azoderivates of pyroqallol, we have synthesized highly
sensitive reagent – bis-(2,3,4-threehydroxyphenilazo)-benzidin
(R, H6R). The given reagent has been used in
direct spectrophotometric determination of titan(IV) in
clay. Complexformation of titan(IV) with H6R has been
studied at pH 5. Intensively colored binary complex is
formed at λмах=396 nm . For increasing
analytical parameters, the influence of the third
components–cation surface-active substances (CSAS) on
complex formation has been studied. It is established that,
maximum exit of different ligand complexes is observed
during the influence of CSAS in strong acid medium.
Detection limit of titan(IV) by reaction of complex
formation with Н6L-CSAS decreases, and constants
of stability of their complexes increase. The influence of
foreign ions and masking substances on complexformation has
been studied. The worked out method has been used in
photometric determination of titan(IV) in Shemakhin˘s
clay.
