Abstract: The complexation reaction between dimethyglyloxime (DMG) and dichloroglyoxime (DCG) with certain transition metal ions Ni2+, Zn2+, and Cu2+ has been studied potentiometrically in aqueous solution at 25±0.1 ºC and ionic strength (I) of 0.1 mol dm-3 supported by NaCl. The overall stability constants logβ ’s of respective species were obtained by computer refinement of pH–volume data using the SUPERQUAD program. The dissociation constants of the ligands DMG and DCG are 6.01 and 8.97 and 3.438, 6.110, 7.252 and 8.873, respectively. The main species in binary systems are ML2, MHL2, MH2L2, MH3L2, MH4L2 MOHL2, and M(OH)2L2, (L =DMG and  DCG).

Key words: Dimethyglyloxime, dichloroglyoxime, dissociation constants, stability constants, SUPERQUAD.
