Abstract:
Several 1, 2, 4-triazolothiadiazines were prepared from
4-amino-5-mercapto-3-aryl-1, 2, 4-triazoles as possible
antifungal agents. All the synthesized compounds were
characterized by IR, PMR, MS spectral and elemental
analyses. All synthesized compounds have been assayed for
their antifungal activity against P. oryzae, B. cinerea, A.
nigar, C. albicans and T. rubrum. All these compounds seem
to have potential as precursors for the synthesis of
triazole structures with diverse antifungal activities.
Compounds containing aryl substituents at position three and
the 1, 2, 4- triazole moiety at position one or two showed
reasonable antifungal activities.
