Abstract: Biphenyl-4-sulfonyl acetic acid derivative is most emerging target against HPV (human papilloma virus). It inhibits the ATPase activity of HPV type 6E1 helicase. Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) has been carried out in this series. The 2D QSAR studies activity is positively influenced by the molar refractivity  resonance at the R1 and R2 positions. Activity is also influenced positively by resonance effect on R1 position. The best QSAR model with good correlation coefficient (r2=0.871), of high statistical significance (>99.9%) well explained the variance in activity.
