Abstract.
Organic synthesis under solvent free condition and microwave
irradiation has now become an area of interest for the synthesis
of o-phenylenediamine condensation with thiourea give the known
a wide variety of compounds. 1, 3 dihydrobenzimidazol-2-thione
and its derivatives were synthesized by microwave irradiation
techniques which results in excellent yields. All the
synthesized compounds were also screened for antibacterial and
antifungal activity. Insilico metabolism and toxicity prediction
studies indicate that, Compound 2c, 3a and 3b are free from
toxicity.
KEY WORDS:
Microwave assisted
synthesis, benzimidazole-2-thione, antibacterial agents insilico
metabolism, toxicity prediction, spectroscopy.
